Chemistry

At work, and in life, chemistry between people can make the difference, that makes the difference. Speaking with a mentor I was interested in her response to my query - how do we create chemistry between people? With our clients? This was instigated by a research article published by Hardvard Business Review that chemistry between coach and client is the number one reason the relationship works. Her response was ' People like people like themselves'. It seems we can work hard at having chemistry or it can come naturally. The natural variety is alluring, enjoyable and energising. So much of our training in business and the workplace focuses on client relationships. We work hard to create chemistry with ' all kinds of personalities'. Wouldn't we be better enjoying the chemistry that comes naturally with the people (or clients) who are just like us?
